Wednesday, April 2, is national Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, and we are turning it into a citywide Day of Action! We need the City Council to pass legislation that will give paraprofessionals an annual $10,000 RESPECT check. Our school system is facing a severe shortage of paraprofessionals and getting them more money is imperative.
To send the message that we stand together on this important issue, we are wearing blue to school that day and then coming together to fight for our paraprofessionals.
